A few weeks before I photographed Sophie & Matt’s wedding at Gledswood Homestead & Winery in November 2019, Sophie sent me a message hinting at a particular shot they REALLY wanted & said it was a MUST! At this point it wasn’t common knowledge that they were expecting so I was sworn to secrecy. Luckily, we managed to get the shot after the ceremony without anyone noticing.

Fast forward to May 2020 & in the midst of a pandemic we were running out of time to fit in a maternity shoot before Sophie’s due date. Again we got lucky & just as restrictions started to ease we found a window of opportunity to make it happen. We found a nice, quiet location just outside the Blue Mountains National Park at Glenbrook where we could get some great shots but also maintain social distancing.

The light that afternoon was absolutely amazing & we even had a few cool props to shoot with. I particularly love the shots of Matt with his Olympus camera photographing Sophie among the natural backdrop of the Blue Mountains.
