Sophie & Matt’s story started from humble beginnings, meeting in a local cafe that Sophie worked at.

Matt’s regular visits for coffee would soon have them both realizing they were very much the same person & their friendship turned into a awesome relationship.

Paris was Sophie’s favourite place in the world & Matt had it all planned for an epic proposal under the Eiffel Tower.

The Proposal: “He unfortunately had to act as though I had come up with the entire night, as I hijacked his plans and suggested we go on a picnic and eat under the tower because i hadn’t seen it sparkle at night (he had planned this all along and a disgruntled Matt accepted my offer of picnic). We set up our little perfect dinner and waited for the tower to sparkle- whilst laughing at a couple that had been redoing a proposal for a couple of hours, matt pulled out a ring and asked if id “keep him” ... it took two days for me to be sure what he’d asked ha!” - Sophie

Having already known Matt & his family it was a humbling experience to be a part of their wedding day at Gledswood Homestead that comes with many great memories. From being a calming influence for a nervous Sophie moments before she walked down the aisle, snapping a secret photo for their surprise baby announcement that was soon to come & to top the day off I also got to share the experience with my wife Ange as one of her first weddings as a photographer!
